Who are we?

The Adoption Support Team is a multi-disciplinary team made up of a social workers, social work support officers, a speech and language therapist, youth and education support workers, peer network co-ordinators, birth family support workers and a dedicated keeping in touch worker. We all work together to provide the Adoption East Midlands support offer.

Helpdesk Team

Welcome to the Helpdesk Team. We are a multi-disciplinary, therapeutic team and we work closely with peer mentors from the Peers4Peers service. We are the first people you will communicate with when you contact the Adoption Support Team.

So that we can understand your needs as quickly as possible we will ask you to complete a pathway to support form. This form will be sent to you by email and contains a questionnaire which helps us to understand what might be happening for your child/young person, you and your family as a whole.

You can contact Adoption Support from 8:30am to 5pm Mondays to Thursdays and 8:30am to 4:30pm on the details below. A social worker will be available from 10am-4pm Monday to Friday.

The Wider Adoption Support Offer

All families within our service have access to our support offer including families who have just come home and families whose children came home many years ago.  We are here for you whatever stage of your journey.
